Design as an organizational leadership function

I lead product design as a leadership function that operates at the organizational level. My work focuses on clarifying direction, aligning decision-makers, and using design to shape how organizations decide and move forward under ambiguity.

I’m a Product Design Leader with over 20 years of experience leading design at scale, including more than a decade in senior leadership roles.

I am currently Head of Product Design at Aumni, a company acquired by J.P. Morgan in 2023. In a complex, regulated environment, I work across product, engineering, and executive leadership to influence strategy through design as a first-class input to organizational decision-making.

My work centers on using design to create clarity where direction is contested or incomplete. When teams lack a shared understanding of what they’re building or how decisions should be evaluated, progress fragments. Design, applied at the right altitude, restores alignment and momentum.

A core part of my approach is using vision artifacts—such as prototypes and narratives—to make strategy tangible. These artifacts establish shared mental models, surface assumptions early, and enable teams to commit with confidence under ambiguity.

At organizational scale, the primary contribution shifts from execution to judgment: where to focus, what to simplify, and how to create alignment without removing nuance. My work operates at that layer—helping organizations move from uncertainty to aligned execution.

This site reflects how I think and how I lead, not just what I’ve shipped.
